Wycliffe Bible Translators

The Wycliffe Centre

After 41 years serving churches, conference guests and Bible translation, the conference business based at The Wycliffe Centre closed on 31 August 2013, after hosting its final groups booked throughout August. We are so grateful to God for his faithful provision over this time. We have heard so many testimonies of lives changed; those who have stayed here have encountered God, and been equipped and sent out from here for his glory both to the UK and to the ends of the earth.

Wycliffe Bible Translators, the charity which has had its headquarters at the Centre, relocated in November 2013 to new offices in order to more fully focus on its central call to serve language communities without access to God's word. Find out more about the Bibleless peoples of the world at wycliffe.org.uk.

From November 2013, the new Wycliffe Bible Translators UK administration offices is based at The Clare Charity Centre, Wycombe Road, Saunderton, High Wycombe, HP14 4BF.

The Centre has also been home to the European Training Programme, a centre of excellence for cross-cultural training in Bible translation and linguistics. Many who have been called to serve in the Bible translation movement have been trained right here at The Wycliffe Centre. From August 2013, this training is now provided by the Centre of Linguistics, Translation and Literacy in partnership with Redcliffe College in Gloucester.

And finally, you may want to view plans for The Wycliffe Village, as the purchasers of The Wycliffe Centre plan new developments and facilities for the site in 2014 and beyond.
